Frequently Asked Questions
General
A: The cafeteria is open to receive money daily from 8:00 – 8:30 am and 3:00 – 3:30 pm.

A: Contact the level secretary ( Monica Flores – Elementary) (Jackie Teran – Secondary) who will then contact the teacher and set up the meeting during one of their planning periods. The level secretary will then call you back.
A: Martha Asebey, the school receptionist, has the form to fill out to request bus service.
A: In order to enter the ACS campus while classes are in session, you must have a scheduled appointment with a faculty member. To make an appointment, please schedule this with your level secretary.
A: For the safety of our students we need to assure that only approved ACS community members are coming on campus.
A: Call the level secretary, who will then inform admin and staff. If you do not call then the student will not have an excused absence. It is important to call and let us know.
A: Each parent and student are given a password to get into Power School where students’ grades are posted and updated regularly. Teachers also post comments when necessary. Grades can be checked 24/7 and if you lose your password please go to the level secretary to recover it.
A; Secondary library is open daily until 4:15pm and students are welcome to work there. There are also teacher lead Extra Support 3:15- 4:15:
Monday – Math Monday
Tuesday – Science Tuesday
Thursday – English and Humanities Thursday.
A = Contact your class parent representative who works closely with grade level advisors and Student Committee, StuCo. (Student Government)
A = By Thursday of each week students who have one or more grades below 70% or 3 or more tardies, are expected to stay in the library until 4:15 on the following Friday. They will be able to do assignments, meet with teachers who require it and work with tutors if they have one.
Secondary
A; Secondary library is open daily until 4:15pm and students are welcome to work there. There are also teacher lead Extra Support 3:15- 4:15:

Elementary
A = Please remember that parents or caregivers are responsible for lower elementary students (KG3-gr. 2) who must be supervised until their after school program begins or during free time between activities. Upper elementary students (gr. 3-5) may stay in the Library until the library closes at 4pm. Students must be picked up promptly from their activities. Supervision is not available after scheduled activity hours. Thank you for your cooperation and support.
